| Shark Park Revisted - Chris Brown, Eric Akiskalian, Bennett Williams, Cappy Petterson, Trent Petterson, Joel Dallas and photographer/filmmaker Greg Huglin had the outer reef to themselves for an entire day. With nothing short of perfect conditions and a solid, but very inconsistent 15'-18' swell, it was a spectacular session all around. |

| Maverick's Delivers Yet Another Solid Swell - It was an all star international cast of big wave charges that showed up for the giant swell. Big names like, Greg Long, Tazy, John John Florence, Garrett McNamara, Kealii Mamala, Jamie Mitchell, Chris Brown, Smith Brothers, Zach Wormhoudt, Tyler Fox, Shane Desmond, Randy Cone, Andrew Marr, Carlos Burle, Pato, Benji, Grant Washburn and others scored some big ones in freezing cold conditions. Note: On this day, John John Florence became the youngest surfer to ever paddle into Mavz. He is just 15! Way to charge John John! |

On this very day and location, fellow big wave charger and local resident of Monterey Bay, Peter Davi drowned while paddle surfing with Anthony Tashnick on the inside break at Ghost Tree.
